The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangement you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.

Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff $2,100

Our charge for this service includes twenty-four hour accessibility of staff and facilities to respond to the initial request for service, consultation with the family, clergy, cemetery or crematory, and other parties involved in the final disposition of the deceased; preparing, filing, and securing notices, authorizations and permits, assistance with forms, and basic overhead charges such as taxes, licenses, utilities and other necessary business expenses. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials and forwarding or receiving remains.)

Embalming $700

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary however, if you select certain arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have a right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

Forwarding of Remains to Another Funeral Home $3,600

Our charge for this service includes transfer of remains to the funeral home, embalming, basic services of funeral director and staff, overhead, and motor equipment to point of transportation and wood-base air-tray or combination unit. This charge does not include viewing, ceremony, merchandise, cash-advances, taxes, transportation or shipping charges.

Receiving of Remains from Another Funeral Home $2,700

Our charge for this service includes transfer of remains to the funeral home, basic services of the funeral director and staff, overhead and transfer of remains to place of disposition. This charge does not include viewing, ceremony, graveside service, cash-advances, taxes or merchandise.

Direct Cremations

Direct Cremation $2,100

Our charge for this service includes local transfer of remains to the funeral home, shelter/refrigeration of remains for up to 48 hours, basic services of funeral director and staff, overhead, necessary authorizations, transfer of remains to the crematory, gathering and placing newspaper notices, securing certified copies of the death certificate, assistance with disposition arrangements, and the cremated remains returned in a temporary container.

The cremation fee ($250.00), estimated charges for newspaper notices and health department charges for the required cremation permit ($3.00) and any requested certified copies of a death certificate ($21.50-30.00) are additional and, at a minimum, are due at the time of arrangements.

The crematory will charge additional fees for the cremation of a casket, for an overnight return, witnessing and also for any cremation in excess of 300 pounds. The additional fee is $150.00.

An additional fee of $ 50.00 per day will be incurred for refrigeration of the remains after 48 hours. This may become necessary due to family schedules, or the availability of the physician and/or coroner/medical examiner to complete the death certificate, which is required by Ohio law before a cremation can be performed.

If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are:

This charge does not include embalming, dressing, cosmetizing, viewing, ceremony or graveside service, sales taxes, cash advance items or any additional merchandise such as an outer burial container, which may be required.
