Private services will be have been held for F. Marvin Bahr, 72, of Kirtland.

Marvin passed away peacefully, watching the lake on January 13, 2018 at Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born August 8, 1945 in Louisville, Ky.

He served the City of Kirtland on the Board of Appeals for Planning and Zoning for over 40 years.

Marvin enjoyed sailing, flying lessons, good food, travelling, book binding, collecting books, and tinkering with everything.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Beth Bahr; daughters, Emily (Gregory) Miller and Katherine Bahr; grandson Gabe Miller; sister, Nancy Poplawski; mother-in-law, Lois Mara; cousin, Betsy (Jim) Mark. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd M. and Dorothea A. Bahr.

Family suggests in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
