He is a graduate of Mentor High School and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. After working at Davis Funeral Home for 20 years, he was able to purchase the business in 2007 marking the inception of Davis-Babcock Funeral Home. Mitch enjoys volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America Troop #280 and traveling whenever possible in his RV. Jimmy Buffett concerts are a favorite destination. Mitch and his wife Laurie have two children. Son Ted lives in Alabama. Daughter Cori is here in Ohio. |

She joined her husband at the funeral home after her retirement from teaching first grade for 30 years in the Chardon Local Schools. Laurie grew up in Lyndhurst, Ohio and is a graduate of Charles F. Brush High School, Mount Union College and John Carroll University where she earned her Master's Degree in Education. Laurie is an active member of Mentor United Methodist Church where she enjoys singing with the choir and contemporary praise band. She also serves as a Lay Leader and on the Children's Ministry Team. Laurie enjoys volunteering through many of the mission opportunities at the church. |

She is a graduate of Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Tara earned her funeral director and embalmer's licenses in 2001. Tara and her husband Nick live in Mentor with their three children, Nicholas, Charlie and Elizabeth, and a yellow lab named Duncan. Tara enjoys running and working out, and is rarely without a good book. She enjoys watching her kids' sporting events and other activities as well as spending time with family and friends. |
| Doug Lace, Service Assistant Doug is a lifelong resident of Lake County and a graduate of Mentor Christian School. He also attended Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania. Doug previously worked as a financial sales representative before joining our staff in 2008. He considers it a privilege comforting families in their time of need. Doug is the proud father of three beautiful daughters: Amanda, Ashley and Alison. He loves to travel anywhere he can find sunshine, water and sand. He also enjoys cooking, fishing and gardening. Doug attends Life Point Church in Mentor where he serves as a greeter and usher and is a member of the Leadership Team. |
| Greg Grimm, Service Assistant Greg is a lifelong resident of Willoughby and graduate of Willoughby South High School. He retired from his job as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service here in Willoughby before joining our staff in 2015. Greg and his wife Denise have a son, Nicholas and daughter, Holly. Greg enjoys bowling and golfing and is a fan of all the Cleveland sports teams. His favorite dinner is pizza and a cold beer plus anything on the grill. |
| Larry Pozza, Service Assistant Larry joined our team in 2016. He is a native of the Akron area and has lived in Lake County for over 25 years. Larry earned his Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and has served as a Senior Pastor locally as well as a Professor with the Moody Bible Institute. He and his wife Este have two sons, Kevin and Brent. Larry has a wide range of interests including sports, photography, hiking, guitar, ancestry research, and travel. |
| Bob Pinkerman, Service Assistant Bob joined our staff in 2013. He was born in Huntington, West Virginia, raised in Portland, Oregon and now lives in Willowick, Ohio. Bob and his wife Dolly both served in the Marine Corps and are the proud parents of five children: Bob (deceased), Vicki, Kathie, Charles and Steve. Bob retired from Reliance Electric Company in 1994 after 38 years; part of that time he was assigned to assist in the startup of a new manufacturing plant in San Palo, Brazil. Bob is active at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Willowick, serving as Eucharist Minister and Lector. He enjoys camping, travel and casino bus trips. |
