Services for John Henry “Jack” Kidd, 87, of Mentor, formerly of Euclid, will be at 1 PM on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM – 1 PM on Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Kidd passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at Cardinal Woods Nursing Home in Madison Township.

Born September 25, 1929 in Cleveland, he had lived in Euclid for more than 50 years, before moving to Mentor.

He was a longtime member of the Sharpeys Social Club. Jack loved boating, camping, fishing and was a model train enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Mr. Kidd was employed as an apprentice pipefitter and millwright for the former New York Central Railroad and retired from General Motors Corporation, former Fisher Body Division in Cleveland.

Survivors are his daughters, Donna (Steve) Stock and Patricia Kidd (fiancé, Scott Shank); grandchildren, Amanda (Jason) Scardino, Nicholas Nebelski, Hollie (Russell) Rondini, Brittanie Nebelski and Matthew Stock; great-grandchildren, Lillian, Silas, Jackson and Parker; nieces, Judy Bokelman, Susan (James) Kernya, Betty-Jo (Dennis) Chiudioni and Nancy (David) Thomas. He also leaves many great-nieces and nephews, his companion, LouAnn Mytro and former wife, Dolores Harmon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Kidd in 1996. His parents, Ralph and Edna (Hadden) Kidd and siblings, Betty Flack and William Kidd are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township following the service on Thursday.
