Mass of Christian Burial for Henry W. “Hank” Wilson, 78, of Willoughby, will be at 10 AM on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Saint Justin Martyr Catholic Church, 35781 Stevens Boulevard, Eastlake. The Rev. Kevin M. Liebhardt will celebrate the Mass.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.
Mr. Wilson passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland.
Born December 19, 1938 in Youngstown, he has lived in Willoughby for the past 68 years.
He was a 1957 graduate of the former Willoughby Union High School and a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Saint Justin Martyr Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and a committee member with the Boulevard of 500 Flags in Eastlake. He loved working in his yard, taking cruises, feeding the wildlife and was an avid Civil War buff.
Mr. Wilson was employed by the United States Department of Defense as a Quality Assurance Representative. He retired after 23 years of service. After retirement, he worked as a parking lot supervisor for the Lake County Captains.
Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Mary Ellyn (Goga) Wilson; children, Wayne W. (Maricel) Wilson, Mary Beth (Scott) Musgrave, Dr. Christopher (Patricia) Wilson and Margaret (Sam) Kopacka; grandchildren, Mariella Renee Wilson, Noah and Tristan Musgrave, Blake and Alec Moyer-Wilson and Katelyn Kopacka and brother, Vincent (Patricia) Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne C. and Laura (Prazar) Wilson.
Final resting place will be in Perry Cemetery following the Mass on Tuesday.
