Memorial services for David C. Hogg, 93, of Kirtland will be at 7 PM on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Old South Church, 9802 Chillicothe Road, Kirtland. The Reverend Ian R. Lynch will officiate at the service.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-7 PM on Monday, at the Church.
Born April 22, 1924 in Cleveland, David passed away November 26, 2017 in Mayfield Heights.
He was a United States Navy Veteran who served as a TBM Avenger torpedo plane gunner in World War II. He subsequently graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Arts. He was a graduate of Wickliffe High School.
He was a member of Old South Church in Kirtland. He enjoyed anything outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He loved his dogs. In his later years, he spent hours observing backyard wildlife in Kirtland.
David retired from Kaiser Aluminum and continued working for a number of years locally selling home improvement products.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Elaine F. Hogg; son, Michael (Cheryl) Hogg and daughter, Cindy (Rick Maxwell) Reinhart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lily Hogg; sister, Joan Bates and brother, Edward Hogg.
